Jesus' delay in reaching Lazarus

THE story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead four days after he had been buried is well known. In this message, Paul Valler, an elder at Finchampstead Baptist Church, unpacks Jesus’ delay and also His feelings on reaching the village to meet the distraught people there. God doesn’t always show up when we implore Him to, but that doesn’t mean that He is indifferent, or that He doesn’t feel the pain. A message of deeper commitment.

Subtitled Persecution Intensifies as Resurrection Power is Demonstrated and taken from Acts 5: 12-42. This was a very on-target message for the fellowship and described how Christian fruitfulness generally follows the cycle seen in this passage (and elsewhere in Acts, and in the life of Jesus) of prayer, power, persecution, perseverance and then more prayer – and so on.
